This handout from Surviving 2 Thriving is to help you when you are feeling overwhelmed.

The feelings of overwhelm are driven by your hind (primitive) brain in conjunction with the thoughts in your clever front brain., These overwhelm feelings can be reduced by using your front (conscious) brain to stop escalating those feelings created by your hind brain.
